Transforming Lives: #PeriodCupCause for Women and Girls of Borjalenga, Silchar, Assam
Menstruation is a natural process experienced by women and girls, yet it often poses challenges and obstacles, particularly in underserved communities. With the aim of breaking these barriers and promoting menstrual health and hygiene, we conducted the #PeriodCupCause in Borjalenga.
We extend a special thanks to Ms. Arunima and her mother for graciously hosting us in their house and helping us connect with the local women and girls. Their support was invaluable in reaching out to the community and making this initiative a success.
During our visit, we donated menstrual cups to more than 25 women and girls, empowering them to manage their periods with confidence, comfort, and convenience. The menstrual cups provided are sustainable, cost-effective, and reusable, ensuring long-term menstrual hygiene solutions.
Throughout this video, you will witness the positive impact of the #PeriodCupCause on the lives of the women and girls in Borjalenga. We had insightful conversations, addressing their concerns and providing them with information about menstrual cup usage. We aimed to dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding menstruation, fostering a supportive and informed environment.
We are immensely grateful for the collaboration and support of the local community. Together, we are working towards breaking the stigma and ensuring access to safe and sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions.
