Project Tracial: A Journey of Exploration and Impact
At Upasana Society NGO, we believe in creating unique experiences that not only feed our wanderlust but also contribute positively to the places we visit. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our latest campaign, “Tracial,” a fusion of “travel” and “social.” Tracial embodies the spirit of unplanned raw travel while integrating meaningful social work into our journeys.
Unplanned Adventures, Positive Impact
Imagine a group of 18 travelers coming together for an impromptu weekend getaway, with a twist – they have no idea about the destination! Tracial is all about embracing the thrill of the unknown and discovering new places without any prior planning. What sets Tracial apart is that, amidst the adventure, we prioritize responsible tourism and social awareness.
Campaign Duration: September 28th, 2018, to October 3rd, 2018
Introduction:
Welcome to the incredible journey of Project Tracial, an initiative by Upasana Society NGO that took a diverse group of individuals on an adventure like no other. In a unique social experiment, more than 15 individuals embarked on a journey with minimal information, putting their trust in the unknown. This captivating voyage was designed to create unforgettable experiences, foster connections, and contribute positively to the places visited.
The Mysterious Beginning:
Participants in the Tracial campaign had no prior knowledge of their destination. They were simply instructed to gather at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CSTM) railway station at 7:00 PM, where the journey’s details would be unveiled. With the excitement of venturing into the unknown, the travelers began their adventure.
An Incredible Communal Experience:
One of the unique aspects of the Tracial campaign was the use of general class railway travel and local transportation throughout the journey. This allowed participants to immerse themselves in the local culture and interact with the communities they encountered along the way. The campaign was not just about visiting popular tourist destinations but also exploring the untouched and less-traveled places.
Promoting Local Empowerment:
One of the campaign’s goals was to support local businesses and communities. Participants enjoyed meals at local eateries, contributing to the livelihoods of small-scale entrepreneurs. This experience empowered locals economically and provided participants with a taste of authentic regional cuisine.
Promoting Environmental Responsibility:
Project Tracial emphasized the importance of environmental conservation. Participants actively promoted the use of cloth bags to reduce plastic waste and discouraged littering in public places. This commitment to eco-conscious practices resonated with the local communities and inspired them to adopt more sustainable habits.
Menstrual Hygiene Awareness:
The Tracial campaign also championed menstrual hygiene awareness. Volunteers took the opportunity to educate and promote the use of menstrual cups among the participants and locals. This effort aimed to empower women with eco-friendly and cost-effective menstrual solutions while breaking taboos and encouraging open conversations.
A Journey of Transformation:
Project Tracial was more than just a travel adventure; it was a journey of self-discovery, cultural immersion, and social impact. Strangers became a tight-knit family as they embarked on this unconventional adventure, fostering friendships and creating lasting memories.
Continuing the Journey
Our Tracial adventure has just begun, and the possibilities are endless. With every journey, we aim to make small yet impactful positive changes in the lives of the places we visit. We’re committed to exploring more unknown destinations, fostering connections with strangers turned fellow travelers, and leaving behind a trail of positivity.
So, if you’re ready to embrace the unknown, explore India’s hidden gems, and contribute to social change along the way, join us on our Tracial journeys. The adventure is ongoing, and we invite you to be a part of this exciting movement that combines the thrill of travel with the joy of making a difference.
Conclusion:
Project Tracial by Upasana Society NGO demonstrated the power of exploration, community engagement, and responsible travel. It showcased how individuals, even when faced with the unknown, could come together to make a positive impact on the places they visited. Through environmental responsibility, local empowerment, and menstrual hygiene awareness, this campaign left a mark not only on its participants but also on the communities it touched. Tracial was a testament to the potential for transformation and positive change when strangers unite for a common purpose.
