🌸 Project Highlight: Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Session at Shivalik Radiance School 🌸

We are thrilled to share our recent initiative as part of the #PeriodCupCause campaign! Upasana Society NGO organized a comprehensive menstrual hygiene awareness session at Shivalik Radiance School in Panchrukhi, Himachal Pradesh, on March 21, 2023.

The primary focus of the session was to create awareness about Sustainable Menstruation among the dedicated educators of Shivalik Radiance Senior Secondary School. Our aim was to empower them with knowledge about eco-friendly menstrual practices and shed light on the environmental impact of conventional menstrual products.

During the session, we had the privilege to provide insights into various sustainable menstrual products available in the market, including menstrual cups, cloth pads, and organic disposable pads. The teachers actively engaged in discussions, learning about the benefits and adoption of these eco-conscious alternatives.

We were elated to contribute to this cause by donating over 30 menstrual cups to the teachers, equipping them with a sustainable and comfortable menstrual solution.

The session commenced with an introduction to the concept of sustainable menstruation, emphasizing the importance of making environmentally responsible choices. By delving into the session, the educators gained a deeper understanding of the significant impact traditional menstrual products have on our planet.

In conclusion, the awareness session successfully achieved its objectives of enlightening the teachers about sustainable menstrual practices, raising awareness about the ecological consequences of conventional products, and fostering an environment where menstruation is openly discussed and normalized.
