PeriodCupCause St Jude High School Hyderabad
Date: 28 February 2019
Campaign: #PeriodCupCause
Upasana Society NGO’s impactful social work campaign reached 35+ girls at St. Jude High School, Hyderabad. As part of the Chained Musafirs initiative, this awareness session highlighted the importance of menstrual hygiene. The efforts were recognized by Times of India, Hyderabad, and received community support from bikers and biker communities who actively spread the word.
Bike Ride for Awareness
To amplify our cause, a bike ride was organized in Hyderabad to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene. This creative approach engaged the community, reflecting our commitment to addressing social challenges.
Hands-On Session for Empowerment
The session provided hands-on experience to students, familiarizing them with various menstrual products and their pros and cons. The spotlight was on menstrual cups, giving students an opportunity to understand and interact with a product not readily available in medical stores.
Empowering through Accessibility
Continuing our mission, we persistently raise awareness and funds to provide free menstrual cups to underprivileged individuals. By making these essential products accessible, we empower those who lack resources, fostering a more equitable society.
Special Thanks
A big shoutout and heartfelt thanks to the incredible Mr. Saurabh Kashalkar & Ms. Dipti Kashalkar for their active participation in conducting this session.
