Upasana Society NGO had the privilege of conducting an awareness session on sustainable periods for the staff of Kudal Police Station in Konkan, Sindhudurg, Maharashtra. We were delighted to witness the enthusiastic participation of the police staff, who openly shared their experiences of managing periods while on duty.

The session was highly interactive, providing a platform to discuss the unique challenges faced by the staff in managing their periods while wearing the uniform and working long hours. Additionally, we addressed the prevalent taboo surrounding menstruation and emphasized the importance of breaking free from it.

To support the staff, we made a donation of 15 menstrual cups, which will provide them with a sustainable and comfortable period experience. This experience brought immense fulfillment, and we hope to inspire more individuals and organizations to join us in supporting sustainable menstruation for all.
