Our #PeriodCupCause Session with Girls of Little Lilli English Medium School – Kumbla, Kerala
Our #PeriodCupCause session with the girls of Little Lilli English Medium School in Kumbla, Kerala, was an important step in breaking the taboo surrounding menstrual health and hygiene. The session focused on menstrual cups as a sustainable and effective alternative to traditional menstrual products.
We started by addressing common myths and misconceptions about menstruation and explained how using a menstrual cup can help reduce waste and improve overall menstrual health and hygiene. We provided step-by-step instructions on how to use the menstrual cup and addressed any concerns or questions raised by the girls.
The session was made possible thanks to the efforts of Mr. Saheer, who helped organize the event and served as an amazing host throughout the session. His support and encouragement helped to make the session a success, and we are grateful for his efforts.
The girls were enthusiastic and eager to learn, and we were delighted to see how receptive they were to the idea of menstrual cups. We distributed samples of menstrual cups and encouraged the girls to try them out and spread the word to their friends and family.
Overall, our #PeriodCupCause session with the girls of Little Lilli English Medium School was a success in breaking the taboo surrounding menstrual health and promoting sustainable and healthy period practices. We are grateful to Mr. Saheer for his support and to the girls for their enthusiasm and engagement. We hope to conduct more such sessions in the future to continue the conversation and promote menstrual health and well-being.
