Empowering Women: Women’s College in Meghalaya embrace #PeriodCupCause for Sustainable Menstruation

Menstruation is a natural process that half of the world’s population experiences, yet it continues to be surrounded by stigma and misinformation. To break this taboo and provide sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions, a #PeriodCupCause session was conducted for 300+ girls at Women’s College in Meghalaya.

The session introduced menstrual cups as a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional menstrual products like pads and tampons. The girls were shown how to use menstrual cups and given tips on how to maintain proper menstrual hygiene. The open discussion allowed the girls to ask questions, share their experiences, and dispel myths surrounding menstrual hygiene.

The response to the #PeriodCupCause session was overwhelmingly positive, with many of the girls expressing their interest in using menstrual cups as a sustainable option for menstrual hygiene. The session not only provided the girls with knowledge and understanding of menstrual hygiene, but it also encouraged them to break the taboo surrounding menstruation.

By providing sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions, we can empower girls and women to take control of their health and well-being. This #PeriodCupCause session at Women’s College in Meghalaya is just one step in the journey towards normalizing menstruation and creating a world where every girl has access to safe and sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions.

The session was a great success, and the girls left feeling empowered and equipped to embrace sustainable menstruation. With continued efforts, we can create a world where menstruation is no longer a barrier to women’s health and well-being.
