The core value of Upasana Society is to bring about sustainability without jeopardizing the environment. Keeping this view, on the day of Menstrual Hygiene Day, 28 th May 2019, Upasana Society NGO in collaboration with Dipti K initiated a campaign to spread awareness on Menstrual Hygiene and help provide with sustainable menstrual products to underprivileged women across India.

#PeriodCupCause is a movement aimed at promoting menstrual cup usage and addressing the challenges faced by individuals who menstruate. The campaign seeks to create awareness about the benefits of menstrual cups as a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional menstrual products like pads and tampons.

Did you know?

• ONE Menstrual cup lasts for 6-7 years, thus reducing the dependency on non-biodegradable disposable sanitary pads.
• It is not only environmentally firendly (sustainable) but also pocket-friendly.
• To top it up, it is the most comfortable period product for young girls and women.

Who can attend this awareness session?

EVERYONE. We have been conducting Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Sessions in schools, colleges, societies, corporates, rescue foundations, orphanages, tribal areas, underprivileged areas etc. throughout India in both urban and rural areas. We charge a nominal fee from privileged individuals to support the underprivileged

How does the Cause/Campaign work?

• Educating the urban masses so they can afford the products at minimal cost
• Seek support from the privileged, in order to help the underprivileged in rural areas
• Raise Funds
• Conduct free sessions and donate Menstrual Cups to the underprivileged

How can you HELP?

• You can Donate Rs. 750/- per underprivileged girl/women that we support (which includes face to face awareness session, free menstrual cup and followup)
• Share the campaign on your social media platforms for maximum reach
• Help us connect with schools, colleges, corporates & other groups
• These workshops are FREE of cost for the underprivileged but we raise funds so that we can support as many girls/women in need.  Based on the location we also charge for travel, food and accommodation
