On June 6\, 2018\, we’re embarking on the “Wheels for Education” Campaign\, an initiative that embodies the spirit of giving\, recycling\, and empowering communities. \nCollecting Cycles for a Cause: \nOur mission is clear—to collect close to 100 used bicycles from the generous members of societies in Chembur\, Mumbai. These bicycles\, often tucked away and forgotten\, are destined to become instruments of change. They will undergo repairs and restoration to be transformed into lifelines for tribal kids in Dahanu. \nWhy Does it Matter? \nIn Dahanu\, young students walk an astounding 5 kilometers one way to reach their school. These bicycles will not only reduce their commute but also provide them with the means to access education more easily. Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and opening doors to a brighter future. Each cycle we collect brings us one step closer to that future. \nThe Power of Community: \nThis initiative is a beautiful example of community-driven change. Members of the Chembur societies have not only come forward to donate their bicycles but have also raised funds for the repairs and spare parts needed to restore these cycles. Their collaborative spirit is inspiring and reflects the potential for positive change when communities unite for a common cause. \nHow Can You Contribute? \nWe invite you to be a part of this transformative event. Volunteers play a crucial role in our mission.
