SUMMARY:Event Announcement: Steel Plate Donation Drive for Tribal Students in Dahanu
DESCRIPTION:Join us in making a direct impact on the lives of tribal students in Dahanu villages! Upasana Society NGO is excited to announce our upcoming event\, the “Steel Plate Donation Drive\,” aimed at addressing a crucial need for these students during their mid-day meals. \nDate: July 7\, 2018\nLocation: Dahanu\, Maharashtra \nDuring our recent visit to the villages in Dahanu\, our dedicated volunteers observed a pressing issue faced by tribal students during their meal times. While they do receive mid-day meals\, the limited availability of plates results in a challenging and time-consuming process. \nHere’s the scenario: \n– The younger students receive their meals first\, followed by washing the plates.\n– Only after the plates are cleaned do the older students get their turn to eat.\n– This delays the older students’ access to hot meals and prolongs their meal breaks.\n– Additionally\, hungry students have to wait for their turn even if they are ready to eat. \nThis situation not only affects the students’ nutrition but also places a burden on teachers to manage lunch breaks efficiently. \nTo address this issue sustainably\, Upasana Society NGO has identified approximately 7 to 8 schools in the interior villages of Dahanu that are in need of steel plates for their mid-day meals. Unlike disposable materials like thermocol or plastic\, steel plates are environmentally friendly and durable\, lasting for over 4 to 5 years. \nOur goal is to provide 250 steel plates in the first phase of this initiative. With your support\, we hope to extend our assistance to even more schools and students in need. \nWe invite you to contribute to this meaningful cause by joining our Steel Plate Donation Drive on July 7\, 2018. Your generous donations will directly impact the lives of over 250 students\, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals without any delays. \nA big shoutout and heartfelt thanks to the incredible Mr. Saurabh Kashalkar & Ms. Dipti Kashalkar for their active participation and bring success to the campaign and event. \nLet’s work together to create a positive change in the lives of these young learners. Your support matters! Stay tuned for updates and progress on this initiative.
